Property Accessibility Statement
Backwoods Cabins offers the following accessibility features for our guests:
- All parking spaces are cabin-front and ground level (no curbs or steps).
- Routes around our cabins and facilities are paved and have shallow slopes.
- One facility is a field and gazebo, which may be challenging for some mobility aids.
- ADA designated cabin has a ramp with proper wheelchair sizing, slope, and angles.
- The Windsurfer’s Cabin (ADA cabin) has wide doorways and hallways sized for wheelchair access throughout. The living room and bedroom both provide wheelchair turning radius clearance, with space to navigate on both sides of the bed.
- No common use restrooms are available on site.
- Cabin name and number signs are posted on exterior cabin doors.
- Interior signage with Braille and raised lettering is not currently in place. Cabins operate via door code entry with no front desk or common interior signage.
- The kitchenette in the ADA cabin is properly sized for mobility aid access.
- The Windsurfer's Cabin has an accessible entry ramp with proper slope, width, and landing. Wider doorways and open floor plan throughout. The bedroom provides wheelchair clearance on both sides of the bed. The living room has an adequate turning radius for wheelchair users. The bathroom includes a roll-in shower, grab bars, and accessible sink/vanity. The kitchenette is sized for mobility aid access. Guests access the cabin via door code — no steps or front desk required.

Backwoods Cabins is committed to making our website accessible to people with disabilities.
We have designed our website to be accessible for impaired users to see, navigate, interact and understand the content provided as per the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA).
We have tested the functionality of this website with the Google Chrome Accessibility Audit tool. We have also manually tested keyboard-only functionality so that people who use screen readers or can't use a mouse are able to navigate through the website pages efficiently.
