What time is check in and check out?

Check in begins at 4:00 PM, and check out is at 11:00 AM. Guests receive check in details prior to arrival for an easy, seamless stay.

How many guests does each cabin accommodate?

Each cabin sleeps up to four guests and includes one king bed in the bedroom and one queen sleeper sofa in the living area. Please note that the bathroom is accessed through the bedroom, which is helpful to keep in mind when planning your stay.

Are the cabins pet friendly?

Yes, select cabins are pet friendly. Guests planning to bring a dog should book one of the designated pet friendly cabins: Windsurfer’s, Forager’s or Camper’s Cabins . A pet fee is required: $75 for one dog and $25 for each additional dog, plus tax.

Are all cabins set up the same?

Yes. All cabins share the same general layout and core amenities, with the main differences being decor, location on the property, and views. The Windsurfer’s Cabin is our ADA cabin, with a wheelchair ramp and all standard accommodations for accessibility. Stargazer’s, Forager’s, Camper’s and Mountain Biker’s Cabins face the ridge, offering the most privacy and forest-forward experience. Kayaker’s, Hiker’s, Skier’s and Windsurfer’s Cabins all face the river and communal area of the property, with the most open view. While each cabin is completely private, Kayaker’s, Hiker’s and Skier’s would be the best to book together for groups that want to be near each other.

What amenities are included?

Each cabin includes a kitchenette, bathroom with shower, private deck, gas fire pit, complimentary snack basket, local coffee, and other thoughtful touches designed to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. We’ve created a guidebook for adventures and inspiration, and there is a common area for playing lawn games, as well as a shared gazebo with barbecue and seating available for use.

What is included in the kitchenette?

Each kitchenette includes a mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker (pour over and Keurig), dishes, glassware, silverware, and basic kitchen essentials for a simple and convenient stay.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available for guests staying at the cabins with their own private parking space.

Is there a restaurant on site?

There is not a restaurant on the Backwoods Cabins property, but Backwoods Brewing Company is less than a quarter mile away and is an easy walk for many guests. Takeout is also available, and Backwoods Country Market nearby offers groceries, snacks and drinks, as well as local gifts and hiking essentials.

Is there a hot tub or pool?

There is no pool or shared hot tub on site at this time.

Can I book multiple cabins for a group stay?

Yes. Backwoods Cabins is a great option for group getaways including family reunions, wedding guests, corporate retreats and other special occasions. While our cabins provide privacy, we have a communal lawn for games and recreation, as well as a gazebo with barbecues, tables and chairs with seating for up to 20.

For cabin blocks, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is due 14 days prior to arrival. Cancellation 30 days prior to reservation is required to get your full deposit back.

Do you offer a military discount?

Yes. We are proud to offer a military discount to active duty service members and veterans. Guests can contact us directly for details before booking.

Can gift cards be used at both the Cabins and the Brewery?

Backwoods Cabins gift cards and Backwoods Brewing gift cards are separate and can only be used for the businesses they were purchased for.
